Lunch & Learn
Community Spanish: A Survival Guide for English Speakers
This program is intended for any English-speaker who wishes to learn limited amounts of everyday Spanish. It is intended for those that may need to work with Spanish-speakers professionally, casually, or in emergency situations. No prior knowledge of Spanish is required.
Wednesday, January 14 from 12:00 - 1:15 p.m.

Sounds of Summer
Sounds of Summer is back for 2009 with a new name, Marshall Festival!
Plans are underway for a celebration on August 20-23. The Marshall Festival Committee
will be meeting the first Monday of each month, beginning January 5, at 7 pm
at the Marshall YMCA.

Blandin Leadership Graduates
Reminder that the graduates of the Blandin Leadership Class will be meeting on
Wednesday, January 7th at 12:00 at the Chamber Office.

We have been doing some holiday cleaning in our office. There is a copy machine here that needs to be moved.
 It is a  Risograph RA4200 that does not work. We are wondering if anyone is interested in having if for FREE?

¨ Community Services Advisory Board - 1 unexpired term to end 2/28/2009
¨ Library Board - 1 three-year term to end 12/31/11
¨ Hospital Board - 1 unexpired term to end 5/31/2011
¨ Housing Commission - 1 unexpired term to end 5/31/2012
¨ Planning Commission - 2 unexpired terms. One to end 5/31/2009, One to end 5/31/2010
¨ Sr. Citizen Center Commission - 1 three-year term to expire 05/01/2011
These positions represent an opportunity for interested residents of Marshall to become more involved in local government activities. Positions are nonpaying.
